HAVE A KNACK FOR (SOMETHING)
To have (or to get) a knack for (something/doing something) A knack is a particularly clever or skillful way of doing something successfully, especially something which most people find difficult. To know how to do something. Example: I have a knack for playing music. Who knew that Perry had such a knack for linguistics? My grandma has the knack of knitting without looking at what she’s doing.

A CLEAN SLATE
A clean slate: a state in which you are starting an activity or process again, not considering what has happened in the past at all. Example: The previous negotiations did not go anywhere, and we intend to start them again next week with a clean slate. What would you do differently, if you could start again on a clean slate? I know we’ve had our differences, but I’d like to repair our friendship. Can we start over with a clean slate I really appreciate you giving me a clean slate after I failed that first test.
